Karaoto Daffodil Park (Karaoto Suisen Koen)


Karaoto Daffodil Park

Daffodil is designated as the Masuda city’s symbol flower. There are more than two million daffodils in the Park, which is facing to the Sea of Japan, in the Kamate area.

The flowering season is from the middle of December to the end of February. In the season, the aroma is drifting around in the town. On the third Sunday in Jannuary, a walk event is held every year.

Karaoto Snake-like Rock

There is the Karaot Snake-like Rock next to the Karaoto Daffodile Park.

A long narrow mass of volcanic rock, the width is about 70-100cm and extends more than 250m into the sea. The blue-black rock looks like a crooked snake. This rock has been designated as a natural monument of Japan.
